Ateam Inc. (head office: Nagoya-shi, Aichi; President: Takao Hayashi) will change its name to Ateam Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereafter “Ateam Holdings”) on April 4, 2025. This company name change reflects our focus to strengthen governance, improve the effectiveness of business strategies, and improve capital market confidence through the strengthening of the Holdings management structure. We will continue to promote our transformation into a “Business Boost Company” as part of our growth strategy with the aim of achieving sustainable corporate value growth.

■Purpose and Background of Company Name Change

Ateam Holdings was established as a limited company on February 29, 2000. We have strived to provide a variety of IT services that make the world more convenient and enjoyable through our creativity and technological capabilities. Since 2013, we have promoted the consolidation of subsidiaries as part of our group management strategy. This has increased the management experience of presidents of each company within the group, enhanced speed and flexibility of decision-making and improved the business growth of the entire group. In August 2021, Ateam Holdings became a pure holding company to strengthen its functions as a holding company.

As stated in the “Ateam Medium-Term Business Plan (FY2025-FY2028),” our company aims to transform itself into a “Business Boost Company” by pursuing a growth strategy through aggressive M&A. The purpose of this corporate name change is to further reinforce the functions of Ateam Holdings as a pure holding company and maximize group synergies by strengthening the system for executing company-wide strategies and group governance.

Ateam Holdings will exercise governance, strengthen cooperation with each group company, and accelerate the speed of new value creation through collaboration and co-creation. April 4th, the date of the company name change, is an important anniversary for our group. When setting the dates for the establishment of group companies, we take into consideration repeated numbers and wordplay. April 4th is considered in Japan to be the “Day of Happiness,” but it is also the anniversary of our listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers Index. By changing our name on this important anniversary, we are renewing our determination and desire we held at the time of our listing and recommitting to strive to provide even more value to our business partners, users, shareholders, and investors.

■Origin of the Company Name “Ateam”

President Takao Hayashi, utilizing his programming skills, founded Ateam in 1997 at the age of 25 as a system development outsourcing business. The company name “Ateam” was taken from a popular American TV show that is a favorite of Hayashi’s, where the story centers around a team that boldly tackles and completes difficult missions. The company name “Ateam” reflects our desire to become a group of specialists who can solve any problem through teamwork and overcome difficulties.

Ateam is a company comprised of professionals with high technological capabilities who leverage IT to drive the sustainable growth, consistently creating new businesses and embracing new challenges.
